Project Description
After great results by the Croatian football team at the FIFA World Cup in 2018 in Russia I decided to make speed art animation of their way to the tournament final. The idea behind the speed art animation creation was to combine the popular Russian figurine (Matryoshka doll) and it’s infinity form to Croatian journey through World Cup with overtime and penalties and our desires as spectators to resolve future matches to their advantage as soon as possible, and without stress.
Half of our wishes came through. Croatia resolved the final game against France as soon as possible. But not in their adventage.
Speed art animations are exactly what their names suggest – creating art against the clock. I have worked with a limited range of tools that forced me to work more efficiently by thinking about shapes and design rather than the tools.
